A Long History...

Elgin CHRISTmas Tree Farm was started as a retirement business in 1984 by Grandma Kaye and Grandpa Bill Walton.  They sold their first trees in 1987.  Through hard work, steadfastness and good marketing the business grew steadily for many years.  They knew they were doing something right and that God was blessing them when the same people kept coming back and bringing their friends year after year (it also felt good to be growing award winning trees).  We had several customers tell us this past year (2010) that they had been visiting us every Christmas for over 20 years.

Field Trip Information

Field trips are designed for Pre-K to 5th Grade Students.  The cost is $5 per student, teachers are FREE.  Field trips start at 10:00am and last about 3 hours.  The field trip includes an educational talk, plant cycle and farming, according to the season.  Check-out all of the science there is to learn in nature that aligns with your curriculum.  Elementary Science TEKS**

Shop for Pre-Cut Fraser Firs and in the  CHRISTmas Cottage Bring a flashlight -- Limited Lighting -- no Choose-n-Cut trees after dark.

Yes, We Have Trees!!

We As of December 5, 2012, we have no Leyland Cypress Trees.  We DO HAVE Pines for Choose-n-Cut (under 7ft.) and a good selection of pre-cut Fraser Fir Trees.
